It might seem weird to have personal branding, but your identity as an Author is just as important as the book itself.
Your Author Branding is your main tool in attracting loyal readers.
It is the foundation of your public image, and the first point of contact most people will have with you or your book.
It's the energy of you as an Author; the emotions your persona evokes in your readers; and the shared experiences that it offers them. We could refer to it the zeitgeist of your brand, if you will.
So how do you build a strong brand? Through consistency. Obviously it helps to have visually appealing branding, but the real key is in cohesion. It's defining your creative guidelines and being consistent with your use of colours, fonts, messaging, tone-of-voice and imagery. It's a creative support system.
